Get Organized with a Bullet Journal

Do you have a specific routine to get your self organized? Yes? No? Not yet?  Either way, these tips might help you to run your life smoother.

Cramming the calendar with appointments, meetings, tasks and projects, could possibly be reason you are not feeling organized.

But why are bullet journals still in in this digital era?  well, a study has demonstrated that writing things down improves your brain's ability to process and retain them. Plus, it never crash!

There are different organizational techniques and processes to implement this system and help organize your present life, remember your past, and plan for your future.  I would like to talk today about bullet journals.  They are great to help you organize your daily life while also serving as a potent mindfulness tool to keep you grounded and centered.

You can create your own calendars and trackers, whether they are fancy or simple, they will help to get through your week in a more steady flow.

  • a journal cover page,
  • content pages,
  • a future log,
  • a monthly calendar,
  • a monthly log and task list,
  • a monthly tracker,
  • a weekly log, and
  • a personal collection.

Every Sunday you can spend time getting yourself organized:

  • Plan Meals for the week, start your grocery list.
  • Make a list of the most important tasks for the week.
  • Get a reminder of the upcoming appointments for the week.
Depending on your life style you can either have different sections on your journal or you can create different journals for the different parts in your life:
  • Personal
  • Family/Home
  • Work/Business
  • Reading journal
  • Spiritual Journal
  • Gratitude journal.
And believe me, blank spaces are ok to have in your journal or your schedule.

When you are planning you also have to leave space for the unexpected. You never know when your teenage daughter will ask you to talk a walk with you or your toddler will come soon from school and will want to play for a couple of hours, your boss might come up with an impromptu meeting or suddenly your husband or wife could have different plans for you that day.  Keep a space for good things to come around your day.
