Do you have a Brain Dump?

Brain Dump
Does your mind bounce between all the things you have to do, and things you think you should be doing?

Do you have a hard time falling asleep because you can’t turn off your brain at night?

Are you overwhelmed with hundreds of new ideas, but no time to implement any them?  So was I!

What is a Brain Dump? A brain dump is simply the act of dumping all the contents of your mind onto paper.   And believe me, my brain has been more organized since I had a place to dump the brilliant ideas, the to do lists and the plans that are not yet finalized.

Journaling
The best part of it is that you do not need to worry about being organized... Just write. It’s okay to be messy, because we are going to process everything later!

Grab a notebook or a notepad
The most comfortable size for your lifestyle.  I prefer small brain dumps so that I can carry it away with me everywhere.

Lists for a brain dump?
yes, and if you want to embellish it you can use Dotted Stickers

Empty spaces in a brain
dump?
yes, just add fun Stickers

Boring brain
dump?
yes, just add Washi tape

If you love to dump your ideas on sticky notes, you can also do that! But please stick all those notes into a notebook, that way they won't get lost.

Now, if you are one of those brilliant minds that can write down the next Nobel prize invention on a napkin, do so! but then run to brain dump and either leave the napkin in there or transfer the idea to paper.  If you don't lose the napkin, you won't lose the prize.

Whenever you are ready to organize those ideas or put a date to the to do's or finalize the plan for an event, you can move to the second step which is your journal or your scheduler, which usually are more formal and ready to use on your daily life.

Are you into it? Start your brain dump now, you won't regret it.
